Flooding expected. Take action now.
Property flooding is still possible. River levels are falling on the River Thames at Chertsey, but still remain just above the flood risk threshold. Therefore, flooding of property and roads is still possible, especially in the Chertsey area. The forecast is dry today and overnight, but the cold snap will cause icy conditions. We expect river levels to continue to fall over the next few days as water moves through the system. Our staff are liaising with councils and emergency services. Move possessions and valuables off the ground or to safety. Go to the 'River and Sea levels in England' webpage for current river levels. Avoid contact with flood water. This message will be updated by tomorrow morning, 12/01/24, or as the situation changes.
