Flooding expected. Take action now.
River levels are rising at the Colwick river gauge as a result of Storm HENK. Consequently, flooding of property, roads and farmland continues.
Properties are now at risk in the wider Gunthorpe community. Gunthorpe Riverdale Caravan Park and the A6097 Gunthorpe to Lowdham Road also remain at risk.
Further light rainfall is forecast over the next 12 hours. We expect river levels to remain high until Saturday on 06/01/2024.
We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are patrolling watercourses in the area.
Please move possessions and valuables off the ground or to safety, and have a bag ready with vital items like medicines and insurance documents.
This message will be updated by 09:00 tomorrow morning, 05/01/2024, or as the situation changes.
