Flooding expected. Take action now.
River levels are high but steady at the Colwick river gauge as a result of heavy rainfall. Consequently, the risk of property flooding remains. Areas most at risk are Gunthorpe Riverdale Caravan Park and the A6097 Gunthorpe to Lowdham Road. Gunthorpe Bridge is likely to become impassable to traffic.
No further rainfall is forecast. We expect river levels to remain high until Thursday afternoon 09/01/2025.
We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are patrolling watercourses in the area and liaising with emergency services.
Please avoid contact with flood water and turn off gas, electricity and water.
