Flood warning

The flood warning for the River Ure at Milby Island remains in force. River levels have risen as a result of heavy rainfall. River levels have peaked at 14.9m and will remain steady, with no further rise forecasted. Consequently, flooding of property, roads and farmland is expected today, Thursday 21/01/2021. Areas most at risk are properties on Milby Island. Please be aware that persistent and heavy rain is forecast until this morning, Thursday 21/01/2021. We expect river levels to remain high in response to this additional rainfall. Please avoid walking or driving through flood water and visit the GOV.UK website for a 5 day flood forecast. We are closely monitoring the situation and will update this message in 8 hours, or as the situation changes.
