The water level in the River Wallington at North Fareham is high and rising. In the last 10 hours, 30mm of rain has been recorded in Worlds End. This is a very large volume in a short period of time. Currently, the river will be out of bank at Boarhunt Mill and surrounding the Mill building. Surface water flooding will also affect the entrance to Broadcut Retail Park. Showery conditions are forecast until the early hours of Friday morning (05/01/2024). The river is expected to remain high before falling at around 03:00 on Friday morning (05/01/2024). Our operational staff are travelling to site to assess the situation. We continue to monitor the forecast. As a precautionary measure, and if you have it, we would encourage you to install flood protection. This Flood Alert will be updated at 15:00 on Friday 05/01/2024.
