Flooding possible. Be prepared.
Last night’s rain has cleared the catchment and levels are now dropping across the Upper Calder. There are further bands of rain forecast mid-morning and later this evening today/overnight , which will see levels increase again, reaching similar levels to yesterday and therefore this Flood Alert remains in force.
Areas most at risk include River Worth, Bridgehouse Beck and North Beck from Oxenhope to Keighley. We will continue to monitor rainfall and river levels closely. Avoid using low lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses and do not attempt to walk or drive through flood water. Start acting on your flood plan if you have one. This message will be updated by 15:30 on 10/12/2023, or as the situation changes.
