River levels remain high but steady and are continued to result in flooding this evening, 23/09/24.
Flooding is expected until tomorrow morning 24/09/2024.
Areas most at risk include properties around Haxted Mill and Haxted Road.
Weather conditions are expected to remain relatively dry with a few showers until Wednesday.
We are closely monitoring the situation and checking rivers for blockages.
Act on your flood plan if you have one.
Stay away from floodwater - it may contain hidden dangers such as open manhole covers, sewage and chemicals.
