Flooding expected. Take action now.
Rising river levels are expected to cause flooding this evening. Flooding is expected from 6:00 PM on Sunday 5th January 2025.
Areas most at risk include properties around Haxted Mill and Haxted Road. We do not expect property flooding at Edenbridge, but we will continue to monitor the situation and re-issue this message if necessary.
Flooding is expected to continue overnight with further showers expected until midday Monday 6th January 2025.
We are closely monitoring rainfall and river levels.
Use your flood plan if you have one. Activate any property flood protection products you may have. Monitor local water levels and weather conditions. Take care and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water.
This message will be updated by 9:00 AM on Monday 6th January 2025, or as the situation changes.
