Flooding expected. Take action now.
Flooding is expected over the high tide on Monday morning, 8th April. High water at Newlyn is at 05:06am, times of high water will vary along the coast.
Force 6 southerly winds and offshore wave heights of up to 4m are forecast and flooding to properties is possible between 4am and 6am. Conditions may apply two hours either side of the high tide. Expect tides to be around 400mm higher than predicted due to weather conditions.
Large waves, spray and standing water are likely, so take care near the coast. Do not drive through flood water or waves.
Further flood warnings are likely for subsequent tides so please keep up to date with local weather conditions. We will continue to monitor the situation and issue an update by 11am on Monday 8th.
Detailed tidal information for those who use it; The forecast high tide level at Newlyn is 3.16mAOD, 0.38m above astronomical tide level.
