Flood warning

High tides, strong winds and large waves are expected to cause flooding tomorrow morning.

Flooding is expected over the morning high tide on Tuesday 9th December.

Spray and wave overtopping of quaysides, harbours and low lying areas is expected to flood properties. Areas most at risk are Newlyn, Penzance and Longrock. High tide at Newlyn on Tuesday morning is at 07:30, times of high water will vary along the coast. The forecast total high tide level is 2.97mAOD, this is 0.6m above tide table level. Strong force 8 southerly winds and offshore wave heights of over 5.0m are forecast.
