South Cornwall Coast from Lands End to Lizard Point

Flooding possible. Be prepared.

Flood alert

High tides, strong winds and large waves over the next three days may lead to flooding. 
Flooding is possible from the morning of Monday 2 February over all high tides to Thursday 5 February inclusive. 
Areas particularly at risk include Mousehole, Newlyn, Penzance, Longrock, Marazion, Praa Sands and Porthleven harbour.

High tides at Newlyn on Monday are at 04:52 and 17:15, times of high water vary along the coast. Forecast total high tide level is 2.95m. Expect tide levels to be between 0.38 and 0.59 metres above tide table level with waves up to 3.5m. Force 5-7 SE winds are forecast. Further flood alerts and warnings are likely, with tides peaking on Tuesday and Wednesday. 
We are closely monitoring the situation . 
Avoid coastal roads, footpaths and carparks, which may be flooded .
