River levels have peaked and are falling on the Upper River Calder following heavy rainfall overnight Tuesday 31 December 2024 and into early morning Wednesday 01 January 2025.
Rainfall is expected to clear this morning and no further significant rainfall is forecast for the next couple of days. River levels are expected to continue to fall throughout today and into tomorrow, Thursday 02 January, and therefore this Flood Warning is no longer in force.
A Flood Alert remains in force for the wider area and flooding of roads and low lying land is still possible, therefore please avoid using low lying footpaths and roads near local watercourses. We are closely monitoring the situation and will re-issue this Flood Warning if necessary.
