The Western Rother is high at Fittleworth. Flood water will continue to be in fields close to Fittleworth Mill. Persistent rain will continue until 17:00 15/02/2026. Only a small river rise is currently expected. Flood impacts should remain minor, affecting fields and rural roads. Possibly approaching gardens in Sheet (from 15:00 15/02/2026), Iping, at Lodsbridge near Selham (from 20:00 15/2/2026), and Fittleworth. River levels should peak, and begin to fall by 20:00 15/02/2026 in Liss, 02:00 16/02/2026 in Iping, 10:00 16/02/2026 at Lodsbridge near Selham, and 20:00 16/02/2026 in Fittleworth. Only isolated showers are forecast Monday and Tuesday, which should allow river levels to fall nearer to a normal level in all communities except Fittleworth. However widespread rain is forecast for Wednesday. Flood risk could return Wednesday. Unsettled weather could continue throughout February. Consider activating any flood protection products you may have in Lodsbridge and Fittleworth. This message will be updated by 20:00 16/02/2026.
