Flooding possible. Be prepared.

Flood alert

The water level in the Bourne Rivulet is high and stable. Upstream at Vernham Deane, the groundwater, which controls the level in the river, continues to rise slowly. Minor impact flooding is affecting land in St Mary Bourne. After possible showers over the next few days, settled conditions are forecast for later this week. This should help river and groundwater levels to stabilise or recover but the area will remain sensitive. Our flood barrier will remain in place at St Mary Bourne to reduce flood risk. We will update or remove this message by 18:00 on Thursday 11/04/2024.
