Flooding possible. Be prepared.
River levels are higher than normal in Crowhurst and Bulverhythe, but falling following Sunday's rain. Only isolated showers are forecast Monday and Tuesday, river levels should continue to fall. River levels should return near to normal in Crowhurst by Tuesday. However widespread rain is forecast Wednesday morning. Potentially more rain than recorded on Sunday. If as much rain falls as is currently predicted, from Wednesday evening flood impacts could affect riverside properties on Forewood Lane and near Crowhurst Recreation Ground, as well as Bexhill Road Recreation ground, and possibly gardens that back onto the rec (or near the Combe Haven). River levels should begin to fall by midday Thursday in Crowhurst, returning near to normal by Friday. In Bulverhythe river levels should begin to fall by Friday, but remain higher than normal all weekend. Unsettled weather could continue throughout February. Consider activating any flood protection products you may have Install flood protection products in Crowhurst. This message will be updated by 20:00 17/02/2026.
