Flooding possible. Be prepared.

Flood alert

The rivers of the Combe Haven are higher than normal, but falling following Wednesday's rain. Only minor flood impacts are expected to remain, affecting fields and Bexhill Road Recreation Ground. A small amount of light rain is expected Saturday afternoon. Less than 5mm of rain. Only a minimal rise in river level is expected Saturday evening. There is uncertainty in Sunday's weather. It is probable another small amount of rain will occur (less than 10mm). River rise should again be small Sunday morning, but minor flood impacts affecting fields, roads, and gardens is possible. However, a less likely scenario suggests 20mm of rain could be possible Sunday, which may potentially cause isolated property flooding in Crowhurst from 12:00 on 22/02/2026, and may affect gardens that back onto Bexhill Recreation Ground, or near the Combe Haven from 22:00 on 22/02/2026. Less rain and flood risk is predicted next week. Consider activating any flood protection products you may have. Install flood protection products in Crowhurst. This message will be updated by 20:00 on 22/02/2026.
