Flooding possible. Be prepared.

Flood alert

High river levels on Wednesday may lead to flooding.
Flooding is possible on 18 February 2026 as 15 to 25mm of rain is forecast on Wednesday to Thursday.
There is uncertainty in the forecast. The most likely scenario is for 20mm of rain. From 6:00PM on 18/02/2026, flooding could affect riverside properties on Forewood Lane and near Crowhurst Recreation Ground. From 6:00AM on 19/02/2026, flooding could affect Bexhill Road Recreation Ground, and gardens that back onto the recreation ground, or near the Combe Haven. If more rain falls than forecast, further isolated property flooding could be possible. River levels should peak by Thursday afternoon (Crowhurst) or Thursday evening (Bulverhythe), then continue to fall on Friday (20/02/2026).
We are closely monitoring the situation .
Consider activating any flood protection products you may have . Install flood protection products in Crowhurst.
