Flooding possible. Be prepared.
High groundwater levels may lead to flooding.
Flooding is possible , as a lot of rain (50mm) has fallen in the last week.
Groundwater levels in Hursley have risen by 1.3m in the last week. We expect flooding to be affecting cellars of properties throughout the village. Much of the Hursley will be experiencing sewerage systems impacts. From Tuesday (17/02/2026), a small number of properties are expected to experience ground floor flooding. On Wednesday (18/02/2026) further rain, which could possibly be heavy, is expected to affect Hampshire. Groundwater levels in Hursley are expected to continue rising into next week. Flooding impacts are expected to increase during this time.
We are closely monitoring the situation .
Residents are advised to prepare property resilience measures and ensure that pumps are working where they have been installed .
