Flooding expected. Take action now.
High river levels are expected to cause flooding on Wednesday.
Flooding is expected on 21 January 2026 from 20:00 as a lot of rain (30mm) fell in the last 24 hour.
Flooding will affect land and roads at West Wellow, Landford and Ower. From 20:00 today, the river will be high enough to flood the Mill at East Wellow. Only isolated showers are forecast over the next 12 hours. River levels and flood risk should begin to reduce at Ower, by 12:00 on Thursday 22/01/2026.
We are monitoring rainfall and river levels and keeping the River Blackwater free of blockages.
Activate any flood protection products you may have . Ensure pumps used to lower water levels are working.
