Lodsbridge to Shopham Bridge on the Western River Rother

Warning no longer in force

Following Monday's rain, the Western Rother is high, but now slowly falling near Selham. Flood water will continue to affect gardens of isolated properties at Lodsbridge, near Selham, as well as nearby fields, gardens, and rural roads. A Flood Alert remains in force to describe these minor flood impacts. Scattered showers are forecast Tuesday morning, but no rain is expected Tuesday afternoon and evening. The river will continue to fall. A band of rain is forecast from 08:00 Wednesday 26/02/2025. A relatively small amount of rain is forecast (10mm). River levels will probably rise again on Wednesday, but the river will likely peak lower than recent days. Further property flooding is not currently expected. Flood protection products are recommended to be kept installed, at Lodsbridge, as a precaution, if you have them. We continue to monitor the levels and forecast. We will continue to update our Flood Alert, and re-issue this Flood Warning if property flooding is expected.
