Flooding expected. Take action now.
High river levels are expected to cause flooding on Friday.
Flooding is expected on 19 December 2025 from 01:00, as half a month's rain (45mm) fell on Thursday.
Flooding will affect properties at Lodsbridge, near Selham. Flooding will be extensive in fields and gardens, and also affect rural roads. Some impacts could also affect the A285 at Coultershaw Bridge, near Petworth. Properties on the Lod could also be affected, including near Lickfold Bridge, Highstead Lane and at Halfway Bridge. Only isolated showers are forecast Thursday evening, Friday, and over the weekend. River levels and flood risk should begin to reduce at Lodsbridge near Selham by 10:00 19/12/2025. River levels should return nearer to a normal level by 14:00 20/12/2025.

Activate any flood protection products you may have Install flood protection products at Lodsbridge, if you have them.
