Flooding possible. Be prepared.
Water levels in the River Test at Stockbridge are high. After yesterday’s rain, river levels increased slightly but are now slowly falling again. Currently, out of bank flooding will be affecting land and fields at Stockbridge, Broughton, Brook and Timsbury, although impacts would have improved slightly over the last few days. Today (25/02/2020), and tomorrow (26/02/2020) only small amounts of rain are forecast. This may allow the river to recover a little. From Thursday (27/02/2020) to Saturday (29/02/2020), 20 to 40mm of rain is forecast. If the maximum totals affect the river, then levels will be very high at the weekend. Please remain prepared for impacts this week. We continue to monitor the forecast. This Flood Alert will be updated by 12:00 on Thursday 27/02/2020.
