Flooding possible. Be prepared.
Water levels in the River Test at Stockbridge remain high. 12mm of rain was recorded at Romsey overnight. River levels will increase slightly in response to the overnight rainfall. Water continues to flood land and fields at Stockbridge, Broughton, Brook and Timsbury. The remainder of the day and overnight is forecast to be dry. Tomorrow (28/02/2020) and Saturday (29/02/2020) further rainfall is forecast, a total of 16 to 25mm is expected. On Sunday (01/03/2020) and Monday (02/03/2020) it should be drier, but unsettled weather is set to return later next week. We continue to monitor the forecast. Please avoid walking through flooded areas. Please remain prepared for further impacts over the next 5 days, as river levels will rise and fall. Generally water levels will be much higher than normal and minor impact flooding will continue. This Flood Alert will be updated by 12:00 on Friday 28/02/2020.
