The water level in the River Medina at Blackwater and Newport is now falling. Tonight, further rainfall (up to 10mm) is expected in Hampshire & the Isle of Wight. A Flood Alert for the River Medina will remain in force as minor flooding impacts will continue to affect land, gardens and possibly roads at Blackwater, especially at Blackwater Hollow on the A3020 near Mill Farm and at Sandy Lane. The river will remain high at St George’s Way, Shide. We continue to monitor river and weather forecast information. This Flood Warning will be reissued when we think property flooding could occur once more.
