Flooding expected. Take action now.
The tide tomorrow morning 12/03/24 is expected to be higher than usual due to the very high spring tides. The peak level in Portland Harbour is forecast to be 1.81 mAOD at 8:27AM with a Force 5 South Westerly wind. This peak level is only just meeting our criteria for a Flood Warning and is expected to only be at this level for approximately half an hour. Weather conditions are not expected to produce large onshore winds. Flooding is possible 2 hours either side of high tide. We will continue to monitor the forecast and re-issue this alert/warning if necessary. Plan driving routes to coastal roads, which may be flooded. Residents are strongly urged to take action now. Remain safe and be aware of your surroundings. This message will be updated by 4:00 PM on 12/03/2024, or as the situation changes.
