Flooding expected. Take action now.

Flood warning

High tides and forecast weather conditions are expected to cause flooding tomorrow morning.
Flooding is expected from 8:30 AM on 20/10/2024.
Areas most at risk include Chesil Bank and The Fleet Nature Reserve and Ferry Bridge Marine Services, Portland Beach Road.
Tidal conditions are expected to improve tomorrow evening and no flooding is expected.
We are closely monitoring the situationĀ 
Avoid coastal roads, footpaths and carparks, which may be flooded.
Please do not drive through floodwater as bow waves may affect adjacent properties.
Stay away from floodwater - it contains hidden dangers such as open manhole covers, sewage and chemicals.
The detailed tidal forecast for those who use it is for a peak level at Portland Harbour of 1.81 mAODN at 8:30 AM on 20/10/2024, with southerly force 7 winds. (mAODN is height above average sea level.)
