High river levels are expected to cause flooding on Thursday.
Flooding is expected on 22 January 2026 from 20:00, as half a month's rain (40mm) fell this week.
Flooding will affect properties on Lower Street and Swan Corner, Pulborough, near to Swan Bridge and Bridge Cottages, Greatham. Water will be extensive through fields, gardens and the A29 at Pulborough. River levels could peak higher levels than 17/01/2026. Showers are forecast Thursday evening, and rain between 05:00 and 09:00 Friday morning. River levels are expected to peak by 06:00 on 23/01/2026. However, river levels will be slow to fall. Flood risk could continue until Sunday. River levels are unlikely to return nearer to normal until next week.

Activate any flood protection products you may have and avoid roads that flood (A29). Install flood protection in Pulborough.
