High river levels are expected to cause flooding on Saturday.
Flooding is expected on 07 February 2026 following persistent rain Thursday and Friday.
The River Arun at Pulborough is high and rising. From 04:00 07/02/2026, flood water will be close to properties on Lower Street and Swan Corner, Pulborough and Bridge Cottages, Greatham. Flood impacts will continue to affect the A29. Isolated showers are forecast Saturday morning. River levels in Pulborough should begin to slowly fall by 15:00 07/02/2026, but will remain high all weekend. Further significant rainfall is forecast Monday and Tuesday. Further flooding could be possible in Pulborough next week.
We are closely monitoring the situation Our pumps in Pulborough are running to help reduce flood risk.
Activate any flood protection products you may have Avoid roads that flood (A29). Install flood protection in Pulborough.
