Flooding expected. Take action now.
The River Arun is higher than normal in Pulborough, but falling. Minor flood impacts will continue to affect fields, the A29, gardens of properties on Lower Street and Swan Corner, Pulborough and Bridge Cottages, Greatham. Only isolated showers are forecast Thursday. River levels will continue to fall. Friday's weather is uncertain. Rain is currently forecast from mid morning, but thought more likely to affect only the Sussex coastline, which should mean river levels in Pulborough will continue to fall. If rain moves further inland than expected, from Saturday river levels may start to slowly rise again. More widespread rain is forecast Sunday, flood water could possibly approach properties in Pulborough again on Monday. Unsettled weather could continue throughout February. Our pumps in Pulborough are running to help reduce flood risk. Consider activating any flood protection products you may have. This message will be updated by 20:00 13/02/2026.
