Flooding possible. Be prepared.

Flood alert

High river levels on Sunday may lead to flooding. 
Flooding is possible on 15 February 2026 from 02:00PM as a lot of rain is forecast (20mm). 
Flooding could affect the A281 at Mock Bridge, near Shermanbury. As well as extensive water in fields, flooding could also affect gardens of properties near Mock Bridge and may begin to approach buildings too. Only a small amount of rain is forecast on Monday (16/02/2026). An additional 20mm of rain is forecast on Tuesday (17/02/2026) into Wednesday (18/02/2026) which could increase flood risk again. 
We are closely monitoring the situation . 
Don't put yourself or others at risk . Avoid roads that flood, including the A281 at Mock Bridge. 
This message will be updated by 8:00PM on 15 February 2026 or as the situation changes.
