Flood alert

High river levels on Wednesday may lead to flooding.
Flooding is possible on 18 February 2026 as 10 to 20mm of rain is forecast on Wednesday to Thursday.
There is uncertainty in the forecast. The most likely scenario is for 10mm of rain, which is a small amount. From 4:00AM on 19/02/2026, minor flooding could again affect fields, roads including the A281, and gardens of isolated properties at Mock Bridge near Shermanbury. If the less likely scenario occurs, with more rain falling, isolated property flooding could be possible at Mock Bridge. River levels should peak by Thursday evening (19/02/2026), and continue to slowly fall on Friday (20/02/2026) and through the weekend.
We are closely monitoring the situation .
Don't put yourself or others at risk . Avoid roads that flood, including the A281 at Mock Bridge.
