Rising river levels are expected to cause flooding overnight.
Flooding is expected from 10:45 PM on 26/01/2025.
Flooding is forecast to affect locations near the River Brit, with low lying land and roads expected to be most affected, particularly around properties in Southgate and Newtown in Beaminster.
Further heavy rainfall is forecast overnight.
We are monitoring rainfall and river levels and liaising with emergency services and local authorities.
Start acting on your flood plan if you have one.
Take care and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water.
Please do not drive through floodwater as bow waves may affect adjacent properties.
Don't put yourself or others at risk.
