Flooding expected. Take action now.
Rising river levels are expected to cause flooding this morning.
Flooding is expected on 09 December 2025 due to heavy rainfall overnight.
River levels are rising rapidly in the River Brit due to heavy rainfall. Areas most at risk are at Newtown and the Southgate Old Mill area Beaminster. Flooding of property is possible. Rainfall is expected to continue throughout Tuesday but for weather conditions to improve from Wednesday.
We are monitoring rainfall and river levels .
Move family, pets and cars to safety and turn off gas, electricity and water if it is safe to do so and activate any flood protection products you may have.
