Heavy Rainfall is expected to cause flooding this afternoon. Flooding is forecast to affect locations near the River Brit, with low lying land and roads expected to be most affected, particularly around properties in Southgate and Newtown in Beaminster. Flooding is expected throughout the rest of Thursday 18th December as river levels continue to rise due to rainfall.
Act on your flood plan now, if you have one. Please do not walk, cycle or drive through flood water, as it may contain hidden dangers.
