Flooding expected. Take action now.
River levels have continued rising at the Dernford river gauge as a result of persistent rainfall throughout yesterday. Consequently, flooding is possible tonight, Friday 15 January and into tomorrow, Saturday 16 January. We expect flooding to affect Bury Road, Joscelynes, Sawston Road, London Road and Aylesford Way in Stapleford, Kings Mill Lane and Church Street in Great Shelford, and Riddy Close, Church Road and Cambridge Road in Hauxton. Further rainfall is forecast for tomorrow morning, Saturday 16 January. This may result in river levels remaining high or rising further over the weekend. We are closely monitoring the situation. This message will be updated tomorrow morning, Saturday 16 January, or as the situation changes.
