Flooding expected. Take action now.

Flood warning

River levels have fallen but remain high at the Dernford river gauge. Flooding remains possible overnight tonight, 16th January 2021 and tomorrow morning, Sunday 17/01/2021. We expect flooding to affect Bury Road, Joscelynes, Sawston Road, London Road and Aylesford Way in Stapleford, Kings Mill Lane and Church Street in Great Shelford, and Riddy Close, Church Road and Cambridge Road in Hauxton. No further rainfall is forecast over the next 24 hours. We expect river levels to continue to fall throughout the day tomorrow. We are closely monitoring the situation. Please avoid contact with flood water and call 999 if in immediate danger. This message will be updated tomorrow morning, Sunday 17th January, or as the situation changes.
