Flooding possible. Be prepared.
The River Dun at Dunbridge is very high following 35mm of rain which was recorded in Romsey yesterday and overnight. The water level is currently falling although we do expect some flood impacts to local roads. Today and tomorrow, further showers are forecast. The river will remain high in response to any rain. The weather outlook next week remains unsettled. Our operations staff are ensuring the River Dun is free of reported blockages. We continue to monitor the forecast. At West Dean (Rectory Road nearest to the railway line), we recommend keeping parked cars away from the river. This Flood Alert will be updated by 16:00 on 28/01/2025.
