Flooding possible. Be prepared.

High river levels on Tuesday may lead to flooding.
Flooding is possible on 27 January 2026 from 07:00, as a lot of rain (24mm) fell on Tuesday.
Flooding could affect Durley School, as the Ford Lake will rise faster than the River Hamble. At Botley, surface water flooding from the main road is possible. Botley Mill could be affected. No property flooding is expected from the river at Bishops Waltham. River levels and flood risk should begin to reduce in Durley and Botley by 12:00 27/01/2026.
We are monitoring rainfall and river levels and will ensure the river is kept free of reported blockages.
Consider activating any flood protection products you may have . Including at Durley School.
