High river levels today may lead to flooding.
Flooding is possible on 18 February 2026 from 23:00, following 15mm of rain in the last 6 hours.
Flooding could affect Durley School, as the Ford Lake will rise faster than the River Hamble. At Botley, surface water flooding from the main road is possible. Botley Mill could be affected. No property flooding is expected from the river at Bishops Waltham. Further rain is anticipated through this evening. River levels and flood risk should begin to reduce in the lower Hamble by 06:00 on 19/02/2026.
We are monitoring rainfall and river levels and looking to keep the river clear of blockages.
Consider activating any flood protection products you may have . Including at Durley School.
