Flooding possible. Be prepared.

Flood alert

High river levels on Sunday may lead to flooding.
Flooding is possible on 01 February 2026 from 19:30, as a lot of rain (20mm) fell on 01/02/2026.
Flooding could affect Durley School, as the Ford Lake will rise faster than the River Hamble. At Botley, surface water flooding from the main road is possible. Botley Mill could be affected. No property flooding is expected from the river at Bishops Waltham. Rain is forecast to continue until 22:00 01/02/2026. River levels and flood risk should begin to reduce in 04:00 02/02/2026.
We are monitoring rainfall and river levels and will ensure the river is kept free of reported blockages.
Consider activating any flood protection products you may have . Including at Durley School.
