Flooding possible. Be prepared.

Flood alert

High river levels on Saturday 06/02/26 may lead to flooding. Flooding is possible on 07/02/2026, as a lot of rain (20mm) is forecast. If as much rain falls as forecast, flooding could affect Durley School, as the Ford Lake will rise faster than the River Hamble. At Botley, surface water flooding from the main road could be possible. Botley Mill could be affected. Following light showers (up to 7mm) on Sunday (08/02/26) further rainfall is forecast for Monday (09/02/26) and Tuesday (10/02/26). If this impacts the catchment, river levels are likely to rise and remain high until Wednesday (11/02/26). We are monitoring rainfall and river levels and will ensure the river is kept free of reported blockages. Consider activating any flood protection products you may have, including at Durley School. This message will be updated by 18:00 on 08/02/2026
