Flooding possible. Be prepared.

Flood alert

High river levels on Thursday may lead to flooding.
Flooding is possible on 05 February 2026 as a lot of rain (25mm) is forecast.
If as much rain falls as forecast, flooding could affect Durley School, as the Ford Lake will rise faster than the River Hamble. At Botley, surface water flooding from the main road is possible. Botley Mill could be affected. More rain is forecast Friday (06/02/2026) and Saturday (07/02/2026), therefore river levels are likely to rise and may remain high until Sunday (08/02/2026).
We are monitoring rainfall and river levels and will ensure the river is kept free of reported blockages.
Consider activating any flood protection products you may have including at Durley School.
