Flooding expected. Take action now.
River levels are rising at the Buildwas river gauge as a result of persistent heavy rainfall. Consequently, flooding of property, roads and farmland is expected today, Tuesday, 22/02/22. We expect flooding to affect property on Buildwas Road, downstream of Buildwas Bridge. Predicted Peak at 6.7 – 6.9m on Tuesday evening, 22/02/22. Further rainfall is forecast over the next 48 hours but is not expected to result in significant totals. We expect river levels to remain high for several days. We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are checking defences. Please plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded and avoid contact with flood water. This message will be updated by 6pm on Tuesday 22/02/22, or as the situation changes.
