Flood alert

Persistent rain will continue until 17:00 15/02/2026. Only a small river rise is currently expected. Flood impacts should remain minor, only affecting fields and rural roads. From 15:00 15/02/2026 possibly approaching gardens of isolated riverside properties in Buxted, Uckfield, and Isfield. River levels should peak, and begin to fall by 22:00 15/02/2026 in Buxted, but not until 06:00 16/02/2026 in Isfield. Only isolated showers are forecast Monday and Tuesday, which should allow river levels to fall nearer to a normal level in all communities. However widespread rain is forecast for Wednesday. Flood risk could return Wednesday. Unsettled weather could continue throughout February. Consider activating any flood protection products you may have in Buxted and Isfield. This message will be updated by 20:00 16/02/2026.
