Flooding possible. Be prepared.

Flood alert

High river levels on Wednesday may lead to flooding.
Flooding is possible on 18 February 2026 as 15 to 25mm of rain is forecast on Wednesday to Thursday.
There is uncertainty in the forecast. The most likely scenario is for 20mm of rain. From 6:00PM on 18/02/2026, minor flooding could affect gardens and riverside properties near the White Hart Pub in Buxted, and Hempstead Mill, the Roller Mill, Mill Lane, River Way, Bridge Cottage and Bell Walk, Uckfield. From 11:00PM on 18/02/2026, minor flooding could affect gardens at Isfield Mill and Isfield Bridge. If more rain falls than forecast, isolated property flooding could be possible. River levels should peak by Thursday morning (19/02/2026), then continue to fall on Thursday afternoon and Friday.

Consider activating any flood protection products you may have . Install flood protection products in Buxted and Isfield.
