Flood warning

High river levels are expected to cause flooding on Saturday.
Flooding is expected on 07 February 2026 following 20mm of rain in the last 24 hours.
Flooding is affecting Moreton Common and Golf Links roads. Fort Holiday Park and Sandown Sewage works could flood as ditches struggle to drain to the main river. Impacts are also possible at Nicholas Close, Brading. Levels are expected to rise again, as up to 20mm of rain is forecast on Saturday 07/02/2026. Following light showers (7mm) on Sunday 08/02/2026, further rain is forecast for Monday and Tuesday. If this is realised, the river will respond again, with river levels and flood risk likely to remain into next week.
We are checking rivers for blockages and operating Bembridge sluices.
