Flooding possible. Be prepared.
High river levels on Sunday may lead to flooding.
Flooding is possible on 01 February 2026 from 22:15, as a lot of rain (38mm) fell on 01/02/2026.
Locations most affected will be low lying Flooding could affect Marymead Close, and the Simeon Street recreation ground. Water will be contained in the recreation ground, so that it does not cause flooding to property at West Hill Road or around The Strand. Only a small amount of rain is forecast overnight and on Monday 02/02/2026. River levels and flood risk should begin to reduce in Simeon Street Rec Ground by 00:30 on 02/02/2026.
We are clearing blockages from debris screens have put in drop boards at Simeon Street recreation ground.
Avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded . Including Simeon Street rec ground which is acting as flood storage area.
