Areas particularly at risk include Swanpool, St Mawes, East Portholland, Mevagissey, Polmear/Par and Polkerris.
Spray and wave overtopping of quaysides, harbours and low lying areas is expected to flood properties. High tide at Falmouth on Tuesday morning is 08:15, times of high water will vary along the coast. Forecast total high tide level is 2.51mAOD, this is 0.54m above tide table level. Strong force 8 southerly winds and offshore wave heights over 5.0m are forecast. Stormy conditions are expected to persist throughout the weekend and flood alerts may remain in force into next week.
