Flood warning

High tides are expected to cause flooding this evening.
Flooding is expected 2 hours either side of high tide on the evening of Friday 23 January 2026.
Property flooding is expected.
Areas particularly at risk include the tidal Helford Estuary, Portmellon, Mevagissey, Pentewan and Par.
High tide at Falmouth is at 8:03PM on Friday evening, times of high water will vary along the coast. The forecast total high tide level is 2.66mAOD. Expect tide levels along the coast to be up to 0.9m above tide table level. Offshore wave heights of up to 6m are forecast with Force 8 South Easterly winds. A flood alert is also in force for this area.
