Flooding possible. Be prepared.

Flood alert

High river levels on Wednesday may lead to flooding.
Flooding is possible on 18 February 2026 as a lot of rain is forecast (25mm).
Flooding is affecting roads through East Meon and West Meon, including Lynch Lane, Shoe Lane and Church Lane, Exton and Bucks Head Hill at Meonstoke. The river may flood gardens and the Millennium Water Meadows at Wickham. If heavy rain affects the River Meon, flooding impacts will increase. River levels and flood risk should begin to reduce along the Upper Meon by Thursday 19/02/2026.
We are closely monitoring the situation and will ensure the river is kept free of reported blockages.
Consider activating any flood protection products you may have particularly properties close to the river, or with pumps for groundwater.
